Any time of year, taking a ride on one of Coronado’s many bicycle friendly paths is the perfect way to see epic island scenery and even get a little exercise while on vacation!
Pedal past a gorgeous wildlife refuge, journey to restaurants and shops, even seek out scenes of the San Diego skyline, all by bicycle!
The best part? We offer free beach cruiser bike rentals, right at the resort! Here are a few of our favorite places to journey around Coronado Island by Bicycle.
Connecting Coronado Island to Imperial Beach is the Silver Strand Bikeway.
Forming a tombolo’ (a bar of sand connecting an island to the mainland) the paved bike path is called, “Natures Path to Discovery”.
The path is relatively flat and kept in pristine condition year round, making it the perfect place to bike for all skill levels.
Direct your gaze to the left and be treated to peaceful views of the Pacific Ocean. Look to the right and take in sites of the Coronado Wildlife Refuge! Stop to enjoy a dip in the water at the entrance of the Silver Strand State Beach.
Experience the quaint, city side of Coronado by heading north along Glorietta Bay.
Travel under the bridge and you’ll find yourself at the Coronado Ferry Landing.
Here, you can stop and find a delightful selection of restaurants for a bite. Shopping and many fun vacation activities are also available. Across the bay be treated to views of the San Diego Skyline!
